Respects students' cultural linguistic and family background

As part of one of my classes, I had to create a Meet the Teacher letter, both in English and translated in a student's home language. This was an assignment as part of my class about teaching ELLs, which are English Language Learners. I ended up translating this to Spanish, however I would have translated this to each student's home language. One way to help ELLs and their families feel included is to acknowledge their linguistic and cultural diversity as well as appeal to their strengths.
