This is the area where students can find materials they need. My CT places all items they would need for a project/assignment on this cart for them to get so, they are not searching through their desk. Her routine for these materials are as follows. Students get one colored pencil from the box for grading papers. On the cart, my CT has two containers. One is for pencils that need to be sharpened and the other is for pencils that have been sharpened. Students can place pencils in there or take them out when needed. My CT sharpens them herself. Then after grading, students will put the pencils away. Her class is accustomed to this procedure so they utilize this to transition between activities, the lesson and exit ticket.
