Positive affirmations are posted on the same board as the guidelines for accountability talk and discussions. One positive affirmations that students are expected to recite before a particulary hard lesson or conversation is "the expert of anything was once a beginner." I really like how students are encouraged to try their best and it's okay to not be perfect. As everyday if they try, they will see improvement and get better. I am so also very open if I am incorrect or if I mess up so, that they understand that even adults are not perfect.
